Pilrig Street - London Road: Traffic management changes
Traffic management arrangements on Leith Walk between Pilrig Street - London Road are scheduled to change in the next two weeks.
City bound traffic will be 'flipped' onto the newly created carriageway on the east side of Leith Walk. This is to allow tram cable pulls to be undertaken on the carriageway on the west side of Leith Walk. Further details will become available in the next week.
Ahead of these changes we are required to implement temporary road closure at the below junctions.
Albert Street
The Albert Street / Leith Walk junction will close on Friday 3 June 2022 for one day to facilitate drainage, ducting and surfacing works. The logistics hub will remain operational. Local access to Albert Street will be maintained via Easter Road. The junction is expected to re-open on Saturday 4 June 2022.
Please note there will be a further short term closure required at a later date, which will be communicated via the projects communication channels.
Brunswick Road
The Brunswick Road / Leith Walk junction will close on Monday 6 June 2022 for four days to enable project works to be completed across the junction.
Localised access to Brunswick Road will be maintained via Easter Road.
The main diversion routes will be signposted via advanced warning signs.
