Notification of Ocean Drive Footpath Closure
We will be closing Ocean Drive footpath.
Location: Ocean Drive
When: Monday 24 May 2021
Duration: Up to 20 weeks
From Monday 24 May there will be a footpath closure with temporary pedestrian diversion being implemented. This means that there will be no through route for pedestrians/cyclists accessing the area. Pedestrians/cyclists will be diverted via Rennie’s Isle and The Shore. Signage will be installed in the local area to inform pedestrians and cyclists of the recommended diversion route.
This closure is to enable reinforcement/structural works to the Victoria Dock Bridge on Ocean Drive.
This will allow the next phase of construction between Rennie’s Isle and Tower Place to commence, which is expected to start Autumn 2021.
On completion of the Ocean Terminal to Rennie’s Isle section of works, there will be a further requirement to close the footpath over Tower Bridge with same diversions in place. More information will be released before the next phasing of works.

We will progress works as quickly as possible to ensure that minimal disruption is caused. We ask that all pedestrians and cyclists approach the area with caution.
