Notification of Permanent Sheet Piling – South Leith Parish Church Wall - Constitution Street
Piling works will commence on Constitution Street at South Leith Parish Church from 15 February 2021 with works expected to take place for up to two weeks.
We will be carrying out permanent sheet piling for the foundation of the boundary wall line on Constitution Street at the South Leith Parish Church. These works are required to allow us to commence and progress with the main infrastructure works in the area.
The piles will be installed using a vibro piling method via the use of a piling rig which is less intrusive than the traditional hammer method. Residents should expect to see the rig arriving prior to the works commencing.
Noise and vibration will be monitored throughout the process to ensure that the works are kept within the specified limits stipulated within the Code of Construction Practice.
The piling is expected to commence 15 February 2021 with works taking approximately 2 weeks.
