This mindfulness group is an opportunity for parents with children under five in the Leith area to explore different mindfulness techniques and exercises. Allowing them to take time for themselves and learn ways to protect their mental health and wellbeing. Childcare is provided. Sessions take place on Wednesdays at 9.30am at

Dr Bells Mindfulness Dips

These mindfulness dips aim to support parents' and carers’ mental health and well-being through cold water swimming (no previous swimming experience needed). The group allows parents to have time to themselves and gain support from their peers and Dr Bell staff. Informal chats take place around a fire afterwards with a cuppa. Please bring a swimming costume, all other equipment is provided. Sessions take place on Thursdays at 9.30am at Wardie Bay, Newhaven. Carr Gorm project Craigmillar Community Grows walking and foraging group

This walking group runs on Tuesdays from 9.30 am from the top of Craigmillar Castle Gardens to different places around Craigmillar. Booking is essential, there is no obligation to come weekly.

Bridgend Farmhouse  

Bridgend Farmhouse runs many cultural, craft and activity sessions for adults such as on Wednesdays - a walking group at 10am, a lady's wellbeing group, an arts and crafts session from 2pm to 4pm, and woodcraft from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Gardening and cooking sessions are also available. Donations for some groups are welcome. Sessions are free and run at

Seen and Heard

Seen and Heard is a cross-art form project for adults delivered by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in partnership with Craigmillar Now, led by SCO associate composer Jay Capperauld, and visual artist Karolina Glusiec. For six weekly sessions, offered at regular points throughout the year, giving the opportunity to explore creativity through a series of activities that blend art and music-making.
