The Roseburn to Leith Walk cycle route has drastically affected traders in the Roseburn area. This has led to a punitive reduction in takings and left many on the brink of solvency.
Traders sent a deputation to the council administration but were refused. We believe that this issue should be reopened and the traders compensated.
Coming on the heels of the massive interruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic it is imperative that we support local business through this period of recovery.
I hope the CEC responds to this local issue and reopens the question of support for the Roseburn traders in the next Council session.
