Return Edinburgh's main roads to 30mph - Petitions (Invalid)
Petition details
Edinburgh council has claimed there is "Popular Support" for the new 20mph zones.Since the plans where originally announced over 200 people and families have been personally questioned by me and not a single individual has been in support of it. Due to this fact we question whether or not there is actually any real support for this outside of a few councillors.
Since Councillors are elected to be representatives of the opinions of the people they represent and not their own personal opinions we would ask for
1 For the Claims of "popular Support" to be published including numbers of people actually asked and the exact questions they where asked
2 For an immediate relaxing of the 20mph zones returning all main roads outside the city centre to 30mph zones while a realistic number of people are asked what they actually want this can be easily accomplished by setting up a simple website and basic advertising which would be both cheap and effective.
