A Permit allows you to put tables and chairs on the public pavement between 9am and 9pm seven days a week. All tables and chairs must have a minimum clearance of 1.5 metres between the occupied area and any obstruction such as a street furniture, for example sign poles, bins, bike racks etc. see Tables and Chairs Permit Guidance notes for further detail.
A layout plan for both new and renewal applications must be provided.
The cost varies according to the size of the area you would like to occupy, and if this is within the World Heritage Site. - Cost

Premises inside the World Heritage Site £196 per square metre
Premises outside of the World Heritage Site £155 per square metre
